Liminal

In the summer of 2025, I visited Japan, where, during a nighttime walk, I came across an alleyway. Compared to the usual bustling streets, there was a moment of calm, where I observed a man smoking a cigar. It was a simple scene that stopped me in my tracks, and existing in this space brought a sense of familiarity and the devoid of the usual.
